One of the most commonly asked question prior to a school agreeing to work with us for their fundraising event is which brochure program sells the most? It is obvious that they want to make the right choice that will give their consumers the best possible product offering in order to maximize sales. Our most customary answer is any brochure is capable of selling very well in a given area. It just depends. There are several factors that you may want to consider when attempting to choose the right brochure program for your group. They include:
- Economic conditions of your specific area. For instance, you will want to consider a lower priced brochure if the socioeconomic makeup of your area is perhaps lower than average
- What has already sold well at your school? For example, if your school has previous experienced different types of product brochures you can simply look at your own history to help guide you in your decision-making process
- On the other hand, you may need to consider what has been sold recently in your area. You may not want to duplicate what’s already been done
- Ask around to see what people might be interested in purchasing. For example, you may find that people are getting tired of cookie dough and perhaps frozen food or a gift item brochure might be the answer. Or, perhaps trying something completely new and refreshing like discount cards or a custom mug brochure might be what people will want to buy
- Do you think that people will want more or less product variety? If they want a large selection to choose from then perhaps a large gift item brochure will work best. If however you want to perhaps make a statement by using more of a theme with less variety, then discount cards or a custom mug brochure may be a good option
Once you have selected your product brochure, the key to a successful sale will be to promote your program as often as possible to as many people and in as many different ways as you can think of in order to maximize your fundraising results.
