The ‘Jump for George' incentive game is a fun way to reward your students who reaching a certain sales goal. Students win money based upon how many dollar bills they are able to broad jump past
Determine how many items that students will need to sell to qualify
Plan to set up before everyone arrives
If you do not already have a starting line, place about 4 feet of masking tape on the floor. Then line up about 25 one dollar bills end to end starting at one side of the line or tape. If you want, mix in some $5’s, $10’s and even higher bills to add excitement (Make sure and place the larger bills towards the end). Make sure that you place these bills a little further down. Keep in mind that your younger students may not be able to jump as far so if they end up selling more then you will want to place the larger bills closer to the starting point. In other words, make sure you know whose jumping before your event! Also, make sure that you approximate how much money you will need to give away based upon how many qualifiers you have as well as where you place the larger bills.
Have each student who qualifies come up to the front
Before each person jumps you will want to announce their name and how much money they raised. You might even want to have them jump in order of lowest to highest seller thus saving the best for last. Once you are ready to start, line each student who qualifies beside the dollar bills and reward them based upon how many dollar bills they are able to completely clear and broad jump past
PLEASE NOTE: You also have the option of providing gift cards in place of cash
