If you want your school fundraiser to be successful and raise as much money as possible, you will need to make sure that as many people know about it as possible, both inside as well as outside your organization. In addition to promoting your sale through daily announcements, video reminders as well as posting your incentive program posters around your facility, there are some additional things that you can do as well to promote your Big Event:
- If you have a marquee, advertise your fundraiser so that everyone can see it. The marquee can also be used as an additional reminder to inform everyone as to when they will need to turn in their money and order forms
- If you have a newsletter, put your fundraising information in your newsletter. Make sure to make it brief yet exciting and informative
- If you have a website, use the website to inform people as well. You can add our website to your website so that people can learn more about your fundraiser (Click on 'Link to Us' at the bottom of our website to learn how)
- If you are doing one of our Big Event Incentive Programs (i.e. Super Party or Magic Show), make arrangements to have the newspaper or local television station out to the event
- If your school district has an ‘automated phone calling’ system, incorporate it to remind the parents and students about selling as well as when money and order forms will be due
- Use social media like Facebook and Twitter
- Remember to also use the prepared notices throughout your Sponsor’s Guide to keep your parents informed as well
